Jim and Pam Beaumont become part of the Hutchinson’s legacy.

After 28 years in the high tech world of software development and software quality assurance, Jim and Pam Beaumont of New Boston, NH decided to make a change and became a part of the Hutchinson's Legacy. When Jim was laid off in October of 2014 after almost 20 years with the same company and Pam was moving from small software startup to small software startup and commuting into MA, they decided in the Summer of 2015 to follow their passion for baking.

Jim and Pam credit their choice of purchasing Hutchinson’s Candy in August 2015 to their youngest son Jacob who has had an interest in baking since the age of 5. Jacob now regularly works in the shop after school and on school vacations.

Since taking over Hutchinson’s Jim and Pam have continued the Hutchinson’s family tradition of using the time honored recipes Jesse Hutchinson developed over 100 years ago. Their signature caramel corn, fudge and peanut brittle are still made in small batches, over an open flame, in copper kettles. The result is a combination of sweet and savory confections that harken back to a simpler time. One bite and you will understand what makes the Hutchinson’s brand so much better than the competition.
